Day 1: Welcome to Reykjavik!Arrive at Keflavík International Airport in Iceland. Transfer to Reykjavík via the Flybus is provided. After storing your luggage at your accommodation, we suggest taking a stroll around the colorful historic center of the city, with visits to some of the many museums, shops and cafes. You’ll also find a great assortment of restaurants to tempt your taste buds. For even more sensory experiences, check out the city’s vibrant nightlife and live music scene—a great way to shake off the jet lag. Spend the next 6 nights in central Reykjavík. |

Day 2: Capital Area HighlightsEnjoy a sightseeing tour of the capital area, including visits to the presidential residence at Bessastaðir, Perlan (“the Pearl”), and Höfði, the historic setting of the 1986 summit meeting between Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev. Other stops include the old harbour, the fish market (seasonal), the towering Hallgrimskirkja church, and Alþingi, the Icelandic Parliament. The tour also takes you to Hafnarfjörður, a neighbouring town rumoured to be inhabited by elves. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure. |

Day 3: The Golden CircleLearn about Iceland´s unique geology and history with an enlightening guided bus tour along the famous “Golden Circle” route. Here, you will visit some of Iceland’s top attractions, including Þingvellir National Park, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the great Geysir geothermal area with its spouting geyser and steaming hot springs, and Gullfoss, considered one of Iceland’s most beautiful waterfalls. Returning to Reykjavik, the tour makes a stop at the historical site of Skálholt, the ancient seat of Iceland’s bishops and a major political and cultural centre throughout the Middle Ages. |

Day 5: A Whale of a DayStart the day with a whale-watching tour from Reykjavik’s old harbour. Sailing through the beautiful Faxaflói Bay, this tour offers you a chance to observe Minke and Humpback whales or possibly even Fin and Blue whales in their natural habitat. You may also spot other amazing creatures like Orcas, Dolphins, and Porpoises along with a diverse birdlife including puffins, terns, and razorbills. The rest of the day is yours to spend however you please.Optional: Add a horse riding tour in the morning and then join the whale-watching tour in the afternoon. |

Day 6: Free Time to ExploreToday, explore the Reykjavik area however you wish. Downtown Reykjavík offers a wide range of attractions, including Alþingi, the Icelandic Parliament, or the bird’s-eye views from the tower at Hallgrímskirkja church, the city’s most visible landmark. You may also be interested in a leisurely hike in Reykjavik’s natural surroundings, such as Grótta in Seltjarnarnes, the Laugardalur valley, or the wooded Öskjuhlíðin area near Perlan (“The Pearl”). There are also plenty of exciting optional activities and day tours to choose from. |

Day 7: DepartureTransfer to Keflavik Airport via FlyBus. If your flight is in the afternoon, you have time to visit some of Reykjavik´s boutiques or museums. You may also opt to take a short tour of the Reykjanes peninsula (not included). |
