Day 1: Welcome to Iceland

Arrive at Iceland’s international airport in Keflavík and transfer to your accommodation in Reykjavík by Flybus. The rest of your day is free to explore downtown Reykjavík with its variety of cozy cafés, quirky shops, small art galleries, interesting museums and other sights.

Spend the next 5 nights at a hotel or guesthouse in central Reykjavík.

Day 2: City Sightseeing & Northern Lights

Start the day with a guided tour of the city of Reykjavík for a great introduction to the capital’s past and present with visits to the main attractions. Spend the rest of the afternoon at your leisure.

If weather conditions are favorable, you'll experience an exciting hunt for the northern lights in the countryside this evening. Also called aurora borealis, these swirling, colorful displays are a truly unforgettable sight!*

Day 3: The Golden Circle

Visit some of Iceland’s most fascinating natural wonders on the classic “Golden Circle” route with a guided bus tour. The first stop is the stunning Þingvellir National Park, listed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List for its immense natural beauty and historical significance.

The next visits are to the beautiful two-tiered Gullfoss waterfall and the Haukadalur geothermal area, home to the Geysir and Strokkur geysers. The tour also stops at Skálholt, the ancient seat of Icelandic bishops, and the small geothermally-active town of Hveragerði before heading back to Reykjavik.

Day 4: Waterfalls & Black Sand Beaches

Today's excursion takes you along the beautiful south coast, starting with at the picturesque Seljalandsfoss, a 40 meter-high waterfall with a pathway leading behind the cascade.

The tour also takes you to the black volcanic sand beach south of Vík, Iceland’s southernmost village, to view the spectacular rock formations Dyrhólaey and Reynisdrangar. The last stop before heading back to Reykjavík is the graceful 60 meter-high Skógafoss waterfall.

Day 5: Day at Your Leisure

Today is a free day for you to enjoy the city as you wish or perhaps go on an optional excursion such as whale watching or horseback riding. Or pay a visit to one of the many spas and thermal pools in central Reykjavik. This is also your last evening to check out the city's energetic nightlife or its eclectic live music venues.

Day 6: A Warm Send-0ff

Today, you will be taken to the famous Blue Lagoon spa on your way to the airport. This is a great place to unwind in the saunas and steam baths or refresh your skin in the lagoon's mineral-rich waters. Relaxing in-water massages are also available for an additional fee.

This wonderful last experience in Iceland ensures that you are fully rejuvenated in time for your afternoon check-in at Keflavik Airport. (Note: If your flight is in the morning, we will change your travel itinerary accordingly.)
