About Iceland
Iceland is a refreshingly unconventional travel destination. The Icelandic nature is unspoilt, exotic and mystical with its spouting geysers, active volcanoes, tumbling waterfalls, towering mountains, vast lava plains and magical lakes. Iceland’s fjords, glaciers and highland plains present visitors with some of the most beautiful and enchanting places they will ever see, as well as a rare feeling of utter tranquillity.
For travelers on a quest for action, Iceland’s pristine nature offers great potential for outdoor activities such as snowmobiling, horse riding, cave exploring, hiking, swimming, skiing, river rafting, kayaking and mountain safaris on modified four-wheel drives, to name but a few. Iceland supports a surprisingly diverse Nordic flora and fauna and is an ideal place for ornithology enthusiasts, while also offering some of the world’s best whale watching destinations.
About Reykjavik
Reykjavík sometimes feels like a cosmopolitan capital and a tiny seaside village - all wrapped up in one. But Reykjavík has the best of both worlds; the qualities of a modern, forward-looking society complemented by a close connection to Iceland‚s beautiful and unspoilt nature.
Reykjavík’s legendary nightlife is bolstered by plentiful cultural and social happenings in addition to an abundance of first-class restaurants. The size of Reykjavik city centre is also limited enough to allow for easy navigation by foot. Reykjavík has been described as a young and daring city that is characterized by strong contrasts. Conveniently small, clean and safe, it is more or less free from the major problems that haunt many other capitals. Big city events are frequent, the winter lights festival finished recently with thousands of participants and more tourist at this time of the year than we are used to.
This package is the ultimate bachelor/stag weekend for those wanting to blow off steam before tying the knot. Spend four days in Iceland with your mates going white river rafting, 4x4 Quad biking, paintballing, joining in on a true Viking Feast and partying till morning in the city’s hottest clubs. End the weekend by revitalising in the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa before flying back home.
Thursday – Arrival and Paint Ball Rabbit Hunt
You will be welcomed with cold beer on arrival in Keflavík airport by our representative, who will then take you to your hotel in central Reykjavík. After you have settled into the hotel, you will go paintballing, with the groom dressed up as a rabbit to provide prey. Once the rabbit has been slain, we will throw you a BBQ of fresh local game, washed down with chilled local brew. The rest of the evening is open to explore Reykjavík’s many cafés, bars and clubs.
Friday – White Water Rafting
We start the day by taking you to one of Iceland’s most voluminous river for a white water rafting trip. After the action, we will head to one of the south coast’s numerous swimming pools for relaxation in the hot tubs before the nighttime activities commence. The evening starts with a dinner at one of Reykjavík’s most stylish restaurants before we take you to the Ice Bar, where you will have a shot of the traditional drink Brennivín in an interior whose temperature is kept at -5°C all year round. After guzzling down the Brennivín, the group will head to Reykjavík’s finest gentlemen’s establishment and the hottest venues in town.
Saturday - 4x4 Quad Biking
Icelanders are 4x4 fanatics; today you will be shown why. You will be picked up at the hotel by a huge modified 4X4 truck, which will take you over rough mountain roads to Skorradalur valley. There you will have an opportunity to blaze around on 4X4 ATVs (quad bikes) before heading back to Reykjavík to experience a real Viking feast. The rest of the evening is open for nighttime activities into the early morning.
Sunday – Blue Lagoon Rejuvenation
On Sunday, the group will be transferred from the hotel to the Blue Lagoon, which is renowned for its healing powers, to rejuvenate after a weekend of debauchery. From the Blue Lagoon, you will head to Keflavík Airport for an afternoon departure.
