IÐA is a spacious and contemporary, independently run bookshop, stocking a range of Icelandic and English language paperbacks, travel literature, magazines and an excellent selection of photography books with great pictures of Iceland and Icelandic nature and wildlife. We also have Halldór Laxness's books, the Icelandic Nobel price winner, translated in English and German.

It's also the perfect place to buy greeting cards, post-cards, gift-wrapping accessories, souvenirs and a variety of other gift items. The staff is informative and helpful, and clearly passionate about their profession.
