101 Hotel
101 HotelThe design at 101 Hotel, Reykjavík’s newest and trendiest locals, is something worth seeing. It is a new and hip spot located in an old building built in the 1930's in early modernist style on a busy corner in downtown Reykjavík.101 Hotel is the work of the owner, Ingibjörg Pálmadóttir who designed the whole place in a minimalist style with a monochromatic palette of volcanic black and grays, reflecting Iceland's landscape. Warm American oak flooring stretches across the building's entire expanse. An impressive art collection, which holds many of the leading contemporary artists in Iceland perk up the walls and the cozy lounge with fireplace, leather banquettes and upholstered chairs makes the staying even more relaxing. The hotel's beating heart is the casual restaurant and the narrow bar with high walls and glass ceiling where hamburgers with cheese and fashionable dishes sit side by side on the menu and all for a really reasonable price. The restaurant is one of the trendiest places in town and serves a delicious menu featuring a combination of modern Icelandic and international cuisine with Indian influences. You can also get soups, salads and small dishes. Breakfast is served from 07:00 until 10:30, and until 11:00 on weekends. | Opening HoursThe restaurant is open from 07:00 - 23:00.AddressHverfisgata 8 - 10101 Reykjavík Tel: 580 0101 Email: 101hotel@101hotel.is Website: www.101hotel.is |
