Itinerary

A guided tour that takes you to the vast Vatnajökull glacier. This package includes a snowmobile ride on the glacier, a boat trip on Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon and flight from Reykjavík to Höfn and back.

Our glacier experts await us in Höfn, ready to escort us by bus to Vatnajökull, where we’ll begin our hands-on adventure at the mountain lodge Jöklasel, with its breathtaking view to the Atlantic and the highest altitude resturant in Iceland! Dress in the provided protective clothing and choose your vehicle – snowmobile or multi-passenger snow crawler – and we’ll start out guided explorations atop Europe’s largest glacier. After an unforgettable “ice picnic”, our next destination will be the spectacular Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon, where we’ll enjoy an exhilarating cruise among giant ice calves heading for the sea, a location so unique it has been filmed for three Hollywood blockbusters!
